Summary:

Employees in regulatory affairs often are involved in a large variety of tasks. They are required to hold the lab to various methods and state required standards, perform internal audits against these methods, work with the lab to resolve data or method issues, monitor regulatory changes, track and utilize proficiency testing performance data, chart and evaluate QC data, and represent ESC Lab Sciences in a professional and positive light both inside and outside of the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in scientific field.

2.Candidates must have a strong background in Quality Systems Management using ISO 17025 and/or 9000 series.

3. Experience with EPA methods, analytical chemistry, statistics, internal/external auditing, metrology, and laboratory safety are desired.

4. Strong technical writing and Microsoft office skills are required .

5. Excellent human relations and communication skills required. Ability to work in excess of scheduled hours. Travel may be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Conduct internal audits and assist with external laboratory audits.

2. Verify the calibration of all documented temperature devices on site.

3. Review and chart statistics of laboratory data.

4. Monitor regulations and changes in areas were ESC is certified. May be required to communicate directly with regulatory agencies.

5. Complete a yearly review and update of the company Quality Assurance Manual.

6. Review RFP, RFQ, Client QAPP, and related documents.

7. Conduct internal and external laboratory training.

8. Represent ESC on technical committees for trade associations and other related organizations.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Sell environmental laboratory services based in the Kansas City area and covering a territory of Western Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1.Establishes new business, obtains orders, and provide services to existing clients by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing and potential clients, as directed by Regional General Manager.

2.Adapts content of sales presentations to the needs of prospective clients by studying prospects company structure, analytical needs, and corporate culture.

3.Submits orders for analytical work, using authorized price lists and standard ESC quotation procedures, and established SOP’s.

4.Keeps management and Technical Service Representative's informed by completing ESC standard activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis reports.

5.Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

6.Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

7.Resolves client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management; or by following up with the assigned Technical Service Representative through resolution of the problem.

8.Use computer to enter data/comments to sales database, prepare correspondence, issue quotes, and make reports as required.

9.Maintains open lines of communication between sales, Technical Service Representatives’, laboratory, lab support, accounting, and administration.

10.Participates in appropriate industry specific trade groups in order to generate leads for future business.

OVERVIEW: ESC Lab Sciences is seeking a CONTRACT SPECIALIST to join our team! This a PART-TIME position (3- 10 hours a week). Qualified candidates would possess a CPA or a law degree. Good negotiation skills, knowledge of contract law is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: CPA, MBA or business contract review experience. Ability to interpret complex legal language and discern its consequences for ESC. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), as well as tact ability to negotiate with ESC clients, vendors, and staff. Work from home. ESC to provide computer, scanner/printer and cell phone. Candidate must have internet.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review legal documents (contracts, master service agreements, purchase orders, leases, vendor contracts and other legal documents) as they come in to company and negotiate terms as needed in order to provide ESC sufficient legal protection and favorable terms.

2. Communicate on a regular basis with CFO.

3. Track expiration dates/renewals and initiate renegotiation when appropriate.

4. Communicate with insurance agent to obtain appropriate insurance certificates and endorsements.

5. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
